There are two categories of power modules each have slightly different levels of functionality and are available in different power/current ratings to suit the intended use of the chair.
The Drive Only (DO) power modules are designed for chairs that do not need lights or actuators, however powered seating can be supported with standalone actuator modules.
Actuator & Lights (AL) power modules are designed to be used on powerchairs that require powered seating or those that include on chair lighting.
Both Drive Only and Actuator and Lights power modules can be used for users that require a wider range of input devices and can be used in systems with 100, 200, 400 and/or 500 series remotes/input devices and any actuator and/or accessory modules. They also offer a utility port for switch inputs and outputs to be connected to the system.

DO
A Drive-Only power module (PMDO) is the brain that powers and controls the wheelchair’s main drive (traction) motors. It delivers smooth speed with adaptive torque to the left and right wheels, keeping the chair stable, predictable and straight even as terrain, incline and battery level change.
The PMDO offers an economical solution for any chair that does not need lights or actuators built into the chair base. At the same time is completely compatible with all other LiNX modules and has twin-CAN ports that let you plug in any Dynamic remote as well as an accessory module or secondary remote without the need for a CAN distribution block.
The PMDO adds two GPIs and a GPIO for quick sensor or general-purpose switch integration.
AL
A Drive + Actuators + Lights power module (PMAL) provides all of the functionality of a Drive Only Power Module but adds two independent seating actuators and the full lighting suite—hazards, indicators, and position lamps.
The two actuator channels on the PMAL are equivalent to the actuator control in any other module, can be used with tilt sensors to precisely control seating components but provide more power than those from actuator controllers.
The PMAL adds an extra utility port to those available in the PMDO.
The result is an economical power module that can be used in systems with lights between 2 and 8 actuator modules and any user input device.

Frequently asked questions
When should I choose PMDO instead of PMAL?
PMDO drives motors only. PMAL also drives seating actuators and lights.
Which current rating suits my scooter?
Use 60 A for light chairs, 75 A for mid-weight, 120 A for heavy-duty.
Can different power modules share one CAN bus?
Yes. Give each module a unique address and they work together.
